Our case managers are trained professionals who provide support through a strengths based, trauma informed lens. They work alongside individuals and families to navigate complex systems, connect with resources, and build a foundation of stability. Through collaboration and compassion, they aim to create a sense of safety, empowerment, and support as you work toward your goals.

Case Manager / Community Integration Specialist
Kristin Leahy, MHRT-C
Kristin graduated in 2004 from Gordon College with a degree in Youth Work and a minor in Counseling Psychology, She spent 18 years both in the states and overseas working with youth and young adults in the community. Kristin is a dedicated and compassionate case manager with a proven track record of making a positive impact in the lives of individuals facing challenging circumstances. With a deep commitment to advocacy and a strong background in working with youths, she has been a guiding light for countless clients seeking support and assistance. Kristin is known for her exceptional communication skills, which foster trust and build strong rapport with clients, empowering them to take control of their lives. As a case manager, Kristin has successfully collaborated with a diverse range of clients, including those facing issues related to mental health, substance abuse, housing insecurity, and more.

Community Integration Specialist
Megan Stinson, MPH, MHRT-C
Megan, originally from Milton, Vermont, has a strong background in public health and a passion for supporting others. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Public Health with a minor in Educational Studies from the University of Southern Maine in 2022, followed by her Master’s in Public Health (MPH) in 2024, along with a certificate in Healthcare Quality and Patient Safety.

She has interned with the American Red Cross and MaineHealth Regulation & Accreditation and has over three years of experience working with adolescents in various settings. Megan is committed to empowering and educating clients, creating a welcoming space where people feel heard, supported, and at ease.

Community Integration Specialist
Tabatha Copeland, MHRT-c, BSW
Tabatha graduated from SMCC in 2016 with an Associate’s Degree in Health and Human Services and received an award for her role in establishing the Captain’s Cupboard Food Pantry, which is still in operation today. In 2019, she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from USM. Since graduating, Tabatha has worked in a variety of settings, including supporting New Mainers, providing case management for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, persistent mental health diagnoses, assisting TANF recipients, offering low-income housing support. Tabatha enjoys curling up in a rocking chair with a good book, completely immersed in the story. As a CIS and Case Manager, she is known for her compassionate, down-to-earth approach, great sense of humor and strong understanding of local systems. She easily builds rapport and supports clients with care and understanding.

Targeted Case Manager, TCM Supervisor
Nadine Palmer, BA, MHRT-c
With 20 years of experience in the mental health field, Nadine brings a wealth of expertise and compassion to her work. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Saint Joseph’s College of Maine and is currently pursuing her master's degree in Forensic Psychology. Throughout her career, Nadine has held various roles that have deepened her understanding of individual needs, particularly working with at-risk adolescents and young adults. She has extensive experience navigating the justice system and always advocates for her clients to ensure their needs are met. Nadine possesses a strong grasp of case management, systems management, and quality assurance, which supports her in her roles as both a Targeted Case Manager and TCM Supervisor.

Michelle Bailey, MHRT-C
Michelle is a skilled Case Manager, bringing practical support and empathy to everyone she serves. She is married, a stepmom to 2, and shares her home with her beloved pets, but her dog is her life. Outside of work, Michelle enjoys spending time outdoors and recharging in nature. With a warm, personable style and solid organizational skills, she effectively connects clients to resources and builds trusting relationships that support their goals. She has 6 years of retail management experience where she worked collaboratively with her employees to make the work environment more enjoyable for the whole team. She has 3 years of experience as a youth career advisor, working with 16-24 years olds with significant barriers to employment including homelessness, mental health conditions, justice involvement, and disabilities. Michelle went to CMCC and has an associate's degree in liberal studies with a strong focus in human services.

Courtney Dennison, TCM
Courtney recently relocated to Maine from Massachusetts. She enjoys hiking, swimming, and spending time outdoors—taking full advantage of everything Maine has to offer. Courtney earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Saint Michael's College and has a strong background working with children and families. Before stepping into case management, she worked in a variety of school settings and served as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in an early intervention ABA program.

Community Integration Specialist
Kiely Penman, TCM
Kiely holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a focus on Juvenile Justice and is currently pursuing her Master’s in Social Work. She has built her career around supporting children, teens, and families through times of transition and challenge. Kiely began her work in Utah, where she helped families with crisis care, behavior management, and academic planning. She later served as a foster care case manager, guiding adolescents as they prepared for adulthood. In that role, she gained deep experience with juvenile justice processes, court preparation, and advocacy, while also forming meaningful, lasting connections with the youth she supported. Rooted in service both on and off the clock, Kiely is known for her compassion, genuineness, and dedication. She sees social work not just as a profession, but as a chance to uplift others and create spaces where people feel empowered by their own potential. Having recently moved to Maine to continue her work with children and families, Kiely is excited to bring her skills and heart for service to the community—promoting resilience, stability, and hope for the people she serves.
