Meet Our Case Managers

Our case managers are trained professionals who provide support through a strengths based, trauma informed lens. They work alongside individuals and families to navigate complex systems, connect with resources, and build a foundation of stability. Through collaboration and compassion, they aim to create a sense of safety, empowerment, and support as you work toward your goals.

Case Manager, Case Management Supervisor 

Kristin Leahy, MHRT-C

Kristin graduated in 2004 from Gordon College with a degree in Youth Work and a minor in Counseling Psychology, She spent 18 years both in the states and overseas working with youth and young adults in the community.  Kristin is a dedicated and compassionate case manager with a proven track record of making a positive impact in the lives of individuals facing challenging circumstances. With a deep commitment to advocacy and a strong background in working with youths, she has been a guiding light for countless clients seeking support and assistance. Kristin is known for her exceptional communication skills, which foster trust and build strong rapport with clients, empowering them to take control of their lives. As a case manager, Kristin has successfully collaborated with a diverse range of clients, including those facing issues related to mental health, substance abuse, housing insecurity, and more.

Shamma Alzefiri, MHRT-c

My name is Shamma Alzefiri. I graduated from University of Southern Maine with a Social and Behavorial Sciences degree in 2024. I am hoping to continue my studies to get my Masters in Teaching English to Speakers of other Languages or Social Work. My first Language is Arabic as I am from Iraq. I have always had a passion to work with children and young adults to help them succeed and achieve their goals in life. Aside from working, I am into makeup, fashion, and spending time with my family, nieces and nephews.

Courtney Dennison, TCM

Courtney recently relocated to Maine from Massachusetts. She enjoys hiking, swimming, and spending time outdoors—taking full advantage of everything Maine has to offer. Courtney earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Saint Michael's College and has a strong background working with children and families. Before stepping into case management, she worked in a variety of school settings and served as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in an early intervention ABA program.

​Mugiraneza, as my name suggests, means “the one who does good.” I strive each day to live up to that meaning. growing, loving, laughing, and choosing kindness whenever I can.

Achen Charles

Hello, My name is Achen Charles. Most people call me AC, which is my nickname. I graduated from Thomas College with a bachelor's degree in psychology with a mental health concentration. I am currently a graduate student at the University of Southern Maine majoring in clinical mental health counseling. I was born in Uganda and moved to the US at the age of 7, and have lived in Maine ever since. I enjoy fellowshipping with others and getting to know their backgrounds. I've always known that I wanted to study psychology and work with people who were in need; my passion has always been to help others and make an impact in this world. My dedication drives me to serve my clients in the best way possible. Before case management, I worked as a DSP,  BHP,  Educational Technician, Teacher Aide, and a Youth advisor.

Precilia Ngalamulume

My name is Precilia Ngalamulume. I graduated from the University of Maine with a BA in Psychology with a concentration in Child Development and a minor in Legal Studies. I am passionate about working with children, families, and diverse communities, with a strong interest in supporting youth development and mental health. During my time in college, I gained experience in leadership, community building, and student engagement through my roles as President of the Black Student Union and Student Lead in the Office of Community and Connection. I am fluent in English and conversational in French. Outside of work, I enjoy creative projects like designing in Canva, engaging with my community, and spending time building meaningful connections with others.
